I thought West Lake was beautiful, until I visited Changshu Shanghu Lake

The peonies of Shanghu Lake in Changshu are known as 'the finest in the south of the Yangtze River', unfortunately, when I came on the weekend, I found that the peonies would not start blooming until April, but I was lucky to catch the full bloom of cherry blossoms, crabapple flowers, and tulips at Shanghu, especially walking under the long cherry blossom avenue on the Moon Embankment, the cherry blossom rain falling at a speed of 5 centimeters per second was so romantic it brought tears to my eyes. - 📷Photo taken on March 30, 2024, ✅The peonies in Shanghu have started to bloom one after another, but it will take at least a week to reach full bloom. The viewing spots are in the Chinese Peony Garden, International Peony Garden, and Boutique Peony Garden of Shanghu. ✅The cherry blossoms are now in full bloom, and the cherry blossom avenues on the Moon Embankment, the International Peony Garden, and the Shude Hall are particularly spectacular, making for great photo opportunities. ✅The crabapple flowers in Shanghu are incredibly beautiful, and they go well with the classical garden landscape for photography. Recommended spots include Fushui Villa, Chaoyang Pavilion, and Binghe Pavilion, which are very suitable for Hanfu photography. ✅Taking a bamboo raft through the water forest is an amazing experience, where you can see countless birds flying through the trees, and the sound of their chirping is very pleasant, giving a particularly healing feeling. ✅Bringing family or friends to camp at Shanghu is also a great idea, setting up tents by the lake or under cherry blossom trees feels so romantic. ✅There is a children's playground in Shanghu, which is very suitable for bringing kids, including the nearby Shanghu Flying Bear Park. - 📍Changshu Shanghu 🚙Very suitable for self-driving, about 1 hour from Suzhou, about 1.5 hours from Shanghai, and about 20 minutes from the Changshu city area. 🚉Take the high-speed train to Suzhou North Station or Changshu Station, then a taxi for about 30 minutes.
