Three days and two nights in Changsha! So much delicious food!

The off-season is perfect for traveling. I went to Changsha with my friends for a three-day, two-night weekend trip (+ Monday). The accommodation was super affordable!!! We stayed at the Gloria Plaza Hotel. It was clean, the rooms were spacious, and we loved it!!! PS: Wuyi Square and Wangfujing were under construction, and it was super, super dusty.😓! They're probably getting ready for the next peak tourist season. Next time I travel during the off-season, I'll check if there's any construction going on.~~ ✅Places I visited: 1. Hunan Museum (reservation required): Lady Xin Zhui was astonishing. It's amazing how well-preserved she is after thousands of years! 2. Du Fu Jiang Ge (no reservation required): You can walk to these three places one after another: Wuyi Square - Wenheyou - Du Fu Jiang Ge. I recommend seeing Du Fu Jiang Ge at night when it's lit up (it's just a regular attraction). 3. Hunan University (no reservation required): You can wander around, and there's lots of food nearby. 4. Yuelu Academy (ticket purchase required): The ticket is CNY 40. It's worth a visit +1. 5. Yuelu Mountain (reservation required): It's a 5-min walk from the south gate to the Aiwan Pavilion. You can see it first and then take the sightseeing bus because it's a bit far, and walking is tiring (CNY 20 one-way, CNY 30 round-trip✅). There's not much to see at the top, just the Changsha cityscape. Then, take the return bus to the slide (CNY 35/person). It's quite fun, so give it a try. 3, 4, and 5 can be seen together. 6. Orange Isle (reservation required): I recommend going on a working day. It's too crowded on weekends! I don't think you need to take the sightseeing bus on Orange Isle (CNY 40 round-trip). You can walk to the statue and enjoy the scenery and take photos along the way. With some stops, it doesn't feel too far. I've basically checked off all the famous attractions! Next up is eating, eating, eating😋 1. First place has to go to Chayan Yuese. Two cups a day, with the Orchid Latte being my top pick! 2. Black Classic Stinky Tofu: Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, filled with soup that bursts in your mouth. Delicious! (Sadly, the first one I bought was from a small stall, and it was a miss. It was over-fried and bitter, very unpleasant.) 3. Hunan cuisine: I went to Xiang Zai Guang Nao Ke Home-style Dishes. The food was good, but you have to go early. I recommend the sour radish tripe and the prawns. Hunan cuisine is spicy, so you can order a dish of stir-fried baby cabbage. Waiting there after 10:30 is about right, but they don't start serving until 11:00. (For other Hunan dishes, just find a random restaurant if you don't want to queue. Hunan food is generally good, and I haven't had any bad experiences.) However! I recommend that friends with sensitive stomachs bring some stomach medicine. Hunan food is a bit spicy, and it can easily cause diarrhea if you have a sensitive stomach (like me💢).
