Dalian--Guanglu Island

Spent a weekend with colleagues at Guanglu Island in Dalian. The island is beautiful on a sunny day. Compared to Haxian Island, which we visited last year, Guanglu Island offers more activities, better water quality, and more complete facilities. 🚌 Travel by bus and 🚢 ship: On Saturday morning, we took the 7:56 train from Shenyang Station and arrived at Pikou Port at 11:11. We had pre-arranged a shuttle to the pier, and the boat departed at 12:10, arriving at Dalu Island at 12:40. On Saturday afternoon, we returned to Pikou and took the 17:14 train, arriving at Shenyang Station at 21:02. 🏠 Accommodation: We stayed at the Changhai Xingyue Bay Seaview Resort Hotel, which offers shuttle service to and from the pier. During the day, you can tour the island. The standard rooms are a bit small, while the family rooms are relatively larger. The sea view right outside the door is particularly soothing on a sunny day. 🫓 Food recommendations: On the island: Heshunxing Fisherman's Cuisine is recommended for seaweed buns, small fish mixed with peanuts, and dragon whisker scallops scrambled eggs. The food is really fresh and delicious, and the portions are large. At Pikou Port: Tiantian Seafood on Haibin Road is recommended for fried oysters and seafood stew. Sen Coffee for a caramel latte. Dawan Bakery, an old brand bakery, has delicious waffles.
