Chinese Temple Prachasamoson

Chinese temple Prachasamosorn 龍福寺 or Wat Leng Hok Yi, the word Hok means fortune, luck, so people call this temple the Dragon Temple of Fortune. This is also the only Chinese temple in Chachoengsao Province. When looking at the Feng Shui position, it is like a dragon's belly, which anyone who comes to pay homage will receive prosperity and abundance. People often come to pay homage and ask for blessings for prosperity, auspiciousness in life, help with fortune, luck, and business prosperity. Especially during the Chinese New Year and New Year, there will be many people coming to pay homage. Those who were born in the unlucky year and want to improve their fate, ward off bad luck will come to resolve their bad luck and pay homage to the god Tai Sui Yea for protection. Chinese temple Prachasamosorn was built in 1956 according to the intention of the Chinese ancestors, "Phra Ajahn Chin Wangsamathiwat (Sok Heng)," the first abbot of Wat Mangkon Kamalawat or Wat Leng Noei Yi and the first ancestor of the Mahayana sect in Thailand. The intention was to build a temple for the Chinese Thai people, so they thought of building 3 temples. All 3 temples were located in the positions according to Chinese Feng Shui principles: 1. Wat Mangkon Kamalawat (Leng Noei Yi), Bangkok, in the Yaowarat area, which is a land of trade. It was the first temple built, comparable to the head of a dragon. 2. Wat Chinese Prachasamosorn (Leng Hok Yi), Chachoengsao Province, a land of abundance with the winding Bang Pakong River, comparable to the belly of a dragon (Wat Mangkon of Fortune or Dragon of Fortune). 3. Wat Mangkon Buppharam (Leng Hua Yi), Chanthaburi Province, a land of wealth, a city of gems, comparable to the tail of a dragon. Later, King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, traveled to open the Bangkok - Chachoengsao railway line in 1907 and came to this temple. He graciously bestowed the name "Wat Chinese Prachasamosorn", which means a gathering place for Chinese people. This temple is built in Chinese architecture. It is home to the principal Buddha image that was invited from China. Three Buddhas, namely Yulai, Onitohud, and Easihud, are special because they are made from paper mache, or paper covered with gold leaf, making them lightweight. In addition, there are many items of worship in the temple, both ancient and rare, such as a Buddha image made from paper, a 100-year-old Guanyin statue made from tree roots, a bell with the Mahaprajnaparamitra Sutta inscription, and 18 statues of arhats made from paper that are over 200 years old. Inside the temple, there is also the largest statue of the God of Fortune, Chai Xing Yea, in Thailand. Those who come to pay homage to him usually ask for blessings related to fortune. For those who want to make merit, it is recommended to ring the giant bell from Teochew that weighs more than 1 ton. The bell has the Mahaprajnaparamitra Sutta inscriptions around it. It is believed that ringing this bell is like chanting this prayer. Located at 291 Suphakit Road, Ban Mai Subdistrict, Mueang Chachoengsao District Chachoengsao Province ⏰ 08.00-17.00 hrs. 📍 https://goo.gl/maps/ccT7iCyUGRYD4F2u5 #Mr.Tourist #MuayTrip
