Sothon Wararam Worawihan Temple

Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan is located on the bank of the Bang Pakong River, Na Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Chachoengsao District, Chachoengsao Province. It is a third-class royal temple, Worawihan type. Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan was originally called Wat Hong and was built in the late Ayutthaya period during the reign of King Narai the Great. It is the home of Luang Pho Phutthasothon, the city's sacred Buddha image of Chachoengsao. It is a stucco Buddha image in the meditation posture, 1.65 meters wide and 1.98 meters high, made by Lan Xang craftsmen. According to legend, Luang Pho Phutthasothon is a bronze Buddha image in the meditation posture, with a lap width of more than a cubit. It has a very beautiful shape and performed a miracle by floating in the water. Someone invited it to be enshrined at this temple.
