Try Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls

Kawasan Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve ever been. It’s located in the south of Cebu Island in the Philippines. It was the first time in my life I’ve done Canyoneering and the first time in my life I saw a waterfall with such clear and blue waters. Here’s my story of visiting Kawasan Falls as a solo traveler. I took a bus to the doorstep of Kawasan falls and proceeded to the tour agency, I was told since I was alone, I had to pay more and hire my own private guide, it cost me 1600PHP but it definitely worth it! I left all of my valuables at the agency, I only took some money and my phone in a waterproof case with me. I was given shoes 👟 , a life jacket and a helmet. Everybody there had to wear a life jacket and a helmet for safety reason since it can be deep at some spots and the rocks could fall on your head. Then 2 motorbikes brought me and my tour guide to the top of the Kawasan Falls and we stated to walk towards the top of the waterfall. Then I started walking down the waterfall, sometimes it was shallow, like a river stream, sometimes it was deep so I had to jump into the water from a small cliff to go forward. The first jump was kinda scary but then it became a lot of fun! I enjoyed having my private tour guide because I didn’t need to wait for anybody and could just move at my own speed. There is a BBQ snack place in the middle so I took a break and drank some water before continuing the journey. I was admiring the beauty, taking photos, jumping in the water and floating in a stream. It was a lot of fun and I even did 15meters jump at the bottom of the waterfall, my shoe flew off! luckily I found it 😆!
