AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

The Netherlands, informally named as Holland, is a country located in Northwestern Europe. Amsterdam is the capital by virtue of the Constitution of the Netherlands, although the States General and the Executive Branch are situated in The Hague since 1588. Amsterdam Airport (AMS) known as Schiphol Airport is the main international airport of the Netherlands. It is located 9 kilometres southwest of the city. It is the world's third busiest airport by international passenger traffic in 2021. From Taipei, I took a China Airlines flight to Amsterdam with a stopover in Bangkok. I had an unforgettable memory during my trip to the Netherlands. During my side trip to Brussels, Belgium, and on my way back to Amsterdam, my backpack was stolen inside a train. I lost my iPad mini, a few hundred Euros and my passport. I reported the incident to the police in Antwerpen and was issued a police case report. With the help of China Airlines ground staff in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, I was able to travel back to Taipei without a passport.
