Exterior and Museum

#celebratewithtrip Hassan II Mosque is located in Boulevard Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah , Casablanca, and is around 2.5 kilometers 30 minutes walk from Casaport train station. Completed in 1993, it is the second largest functioning mosque in Africa and is 7th largest in the world, looking out to the Atlantic ocean. Its minaret is the world's second tallest at 210 meters, which has a laser beam fitted at the top, and is electronically operated in the evening toward the direction of Mecca. The museum near the ticket office, is considered one of the places that must be visited due to its exhibits of materials and pieces of woods used in the construction of the Great Mosque. This building is even better, in addition to spaces dedicated to temporary exhibitions of traditional Moroccan arts and kiosks selling amazing souvenirs.
