Cruceiro de Síngulis Rúa de Alvaro Guitián, 20, 36940 Cangas, Pontevedra The "cruceiro" of Singulis or Christ the Crucifixion is an example of the Baroque "cruceiro" that dates back several centuries Seventeenth and Eighteenth. The front of the cross depicts Christ crucified with hands and eyes closed, while the back depicts Our Lady of Sorrows and is engraved with the words INRI. The capital is very elaborate, with the angel's head represented by a scallop shell. One of the most noteworthy aspects was the verification during the restoration work that it was in color. In the square you can see several "skate houses", the only maritime structures with external access to the upper floors, which according to popular legend were the places where the torture of those convicted of the Inquisition was witnessed.
