Canberra Peace Park

🌟Highlights: The Peace Park is located between Lake Burley Griffin and the National Library of Australia, and it is a symbol of Australia's commitment to peace. It was officially completed on United Nations Day, October 24, 1990. The park is triangular in shape, with the central feature being a black granite square. The polished granite in the center is tilted, and the panel is engraved with the word 'peace' in the six dialects of the United Nations and the indigenous language of the local Ngunnawal people. The United Nations languages include English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese. The meaning of the word 'Narragunnawali' is 'alive/happy/together'. The core feature of this is the symbol of international peace - an image of a dove holding an olive branch is engraved on the black polished granite. The design and construction of the Peace Park was jointly undertaken by the National Capital Planning Bureau and the Australian Architectural Services Company.
