Egyptian museum in Cairo

#bucketlistreboot Nested near the Tahrir Square where the 2011 revolution happened, the Egyptian Museum can be accessed through one of the side streets in between the hotels. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum or the Cairo Museum, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display and the remainder in storerooms. The museum showcases many mummies and burial artefacts. It also hosts a detailed exposition with the actual King Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus and belongings including the famous burial golden mask. #urbanexplorer #cairoegypt
