Just got back from an epic trip to Australia, here’s a lazy traveler’s group tour guide for you～ (Includes some hard-learned tips) My bestie and I originally planned a free trip, but got overwhelmed doing research 🤯 Australia’s attractions are so spread out, driving on the right side was a no-go, and public transport was so sparse it made us question life… After hearing recommendations from friends who just returned, we decisively chose a quality local tour for 10 days! Australia’s UV rays are nuclear level 💥 I used SPF50+ and still got sunburned like a little lobster (peeling was painful to tears! Suggest: physical sunscreen + hardcore sunscreen double buff) 2️⃣ Aussie plugs = electronic life support! China’s three-prong plugs won’t work, if you don’t bring adapters your camera and phone will die… (Buy in advance on Taobao! 20 RMB saves your life) 3️⃣ Warning: 20,000 steps a day! Bring two pairs of super comfy sneakers! Wore white sneakers on day one, my soles protested so badly I wanted to amputate… 4️⃣ Cash ≈ useless! Sydney and Melbourne accept cards/mobile payments everywhere, 500 AUD cash is enough for emergencies (except buying lobster at the fish market!) 5️⃣ Leave space in your suitcase! Aussie wool products and health foods are so cheap it’s heartbreaking, packed my suitcase to the brim on the way back 💥 · 10 Days, 5 Cities on the Move! Highlights Captured Sydney, New South Wales: Opera House sunset was insane! Rushed to Circular Quay at dusk, the sunset dyed the shell roof peach 🍑 Seagulls circled the masts, every snap looked like a National Geographic masterpiece! Cairns, Queensland: Entered the Avatar planet! Kuranda Rainforest Skyrail glided through the clouds 🚡 Ferns taller than people in the canopy, the mist really gave a Pandora vibe! Indigenous guy played deep sounds on a didgeridoo, gave me goosebumps all over… Great Barrier Reef: Snorkeling was worth the water choking! Glass-bottom boat showed coral like a spilled palette 🐠 Nervous snorkeling meant I swallowed a lot of seawater, then looked up to see a turtle swim right overhead! Instant healing! (Pro tip: bite the snorkel mouthpiece tight or seawater will flood your head) Gold Coast, Queensland: Surfer’s Paradise daydream! Lying on 70 km of white sand, watching waves dye the sky gradient blue 🌊 Guide said when waves hit 3 meters, world surfing champs come here… (I only dipped my toes) Melbourne, Victoria: Found treasures in the alleys! Every wall in the graffiti street is a work of art 🎨 Hidden cafes serve Aussie flat whites so good they blow your mind! A post-2000s girl in the group led us to Instagram walls, 200% photo success rate! · ✅ Sydney Fish Market: Fresh oysters with lemon juice explode with sweetness on your tongue! Lobster sashimi is crystal clear, 100 AUD per person and you’ll be stuffed to the point of leaning on walls～ ✅ Rainforest BBQ: Grilled kangaroo meat in a Kuranda treehouse! Firm texture, no gamey taste, paired with local sparkling wine was amazing～ ✅ Melbourne, Victoria Brunch: Avocado poached eggs + truffle fries, the plate was big enough to bathe in! - ✅ Best for: Those who hate hassle/social anxiety/first-timers to Australia ✅ Worry-free rating: ★★★★★ (Flights, visas, transport all included) ✅ Happiness rating: ★★★★☆ (Made travel buddies!)
