Busan's White Shoal is for those who are not in a hurry

#AprilGoodDestinations2025 I stayed in Busan for a long time this time, and one day I took a bus eastward to the lesser-known Baiqiantan Beach. There weren't many tourists and not much noise, but the sea was really blue and the wind was just right. After walking a bit, I came across a coffee shop by the sea, where I happily sat there in a daze. ⸻ 📍Baekchantan Beach (백사장해수욕장) A relatively unknown beach in Busan, located in Gijang County. The coastline is clean and flat, and the beach is light gray in color, which is very comfortable with the blue of the sea. There are so few people that you can hear the sound of waves hitting the shore. It is perfect for a quiet walk or just sitting down and doing nothing. 📍Seaside cafe (recommended area: along the Baiqiantan coastline) There are several low-key coffee shops in this area, most of which have floor-to-ceiling windows, providing a perfect view of the sea. Some focus on desserts, some focus on brewed drinks, so you can’t go wrong with either one. This time we went into a cafe that only played jazz music, and when the sun shone in, the whole store seemed to be in slow motion. ⸻ 🚄Transportation 【White Shoal Beach】 ． Take Metro Line 2 to Changshan Station and transfer to Bus No. 185. The ride takes about 20-30 minutes. ． Or take a taxi from Busan Station, which takes about 40 minutes (suitable for group travel) 【Seaside Cafe】 ． You can find many cafes along the coast by walking (it is recommended to come on weekdays when it is quieter) ⸻ 🫀Personal experience Baiqiantan is a place that you feel like you won’t come here on purpose, but you’ll remember it when you come. It was a sunny day, there were almost no people on the beach, the wind was just right, and the sound of the waves was like Busan whispering. In fact, I didn't do anything special. I just walked on the beach, looking at the sea, the small boats, and the blurry mountain lines in the distance, but I felt as if I was missing nothing. When I got tired of walking, I went into a coffee shop by the sea. The wooden floor is matched with large windows, and the glass water cups on the table are sparkling in the sunlight. I ordered an iced American coffee and drank it sip by sip while sitting by the window. Across from me was the endless blue. During that time of quietly watching the sea, it seems as if nothing has happened, but in fact my heart is filled. The charm of Busan is often not the "check-in points", but moments like this, which make people willing to slow down, take the scenery into their hearts, say nothing, and not want to leave.
