Temple by the Sea - Yong-gung-sa

I went here during late winter last year. It's about 35 minutes drive from Busan station (we were lucky to have one of our Korean friends there to drive us) as it usually takes an hour and a half to get there by public transport. One of a must visit place if you are in Busan. On your way in, there are a few stalls selling odeng (fish cakes) and other stuff. They close quite early (around 3.30 or 4) so try to be there earlier if you want a bite before exploring the area. It's an uphill walk due to the terrain but IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL THE WALK IS WORTH IT. You can see multiple different statues and the big Buddha statue. The stairs are quite small and people who walk down are using the same stairs, so take your time and allow people to walk pass, too. As for the golden leaf, you can write down your wishes there! I remember it costed 5,000 won per leaf and they take cash or you can do bank transfer if you have Korean bank account (or if you have wowpass; not an ad). It's a good hike, a good walk, and it offers beautiful view. So, definitely try to come here if you have time :) #travel #busan #southkorea #temple
