Busan is a port city and one of South Korea's important transportation hubs for sea, land and air. Busan's coastal sightseeing spots primarily include bathing beaches and coastal parks. Haeundae Beach and Songdo Beach are favorite destinations for local residents. The city's attractions include historical sites, museums and art galleries. For families traveling with children, the Sea Life Busan Aquarium is a great destination to experience the glass bottom boat atop the shark tank. Art lovers can visit the Gamcheon Cultural Village to enjoy the colorful and artistically painted walls. Busan is famous for its seafood. You can eat all kinds of fresh hoe—Korean sashimi. Ocean-View Bliss: A Perfect Day at Hill Spa in Busan
#spas #100waysoftravel #busan #haeundae #south_korea
We absolutely loved Hill Spa in Busan, a five-story building entirely dedicated to providing an unparalleled ocean-view spa experience. It's truly a one-of-a-kind spot in the city, offering everything from relaxation to breathtaking views.
The first floor houses a gym, while the second floor is reserved for women, with separate zones for massage baths, hot springs, and a cool-water area. On the third floor, you'll find a CU convenience store and various jjimjilbang rooms, along with a cozy sleeping and massage area. There's also a women-only sleeping room, offering a private and safe space, and individual sleeping pods that provide a sense of security. The fourth floor is reserved for men’s baths, while the fifth floor boasts both indoor areas with haeundae ocean views and outdoor foot bath jjimjilbangs.
Although a bit chilly in autumn, I highly recommend trying the outdoor spa during summer. The experience was absolutely incredible! The staff was friendly, and you can even spend the night here for a budget-friendly stay. Plus, nothing beats grabbing a meal from the CU store and cooking ramen at the automatic machine—a Korean drama moment, complete with sweet rice drinks and eggs. With the combination of great food, views, and relaxation, I could easily spend an entire afternoon at this spa!
📌Tips: The spa is open 24 hours, making it a perfect place to rest after a long overnight flight, and the first floor offers luggage storage.

Ultimate Relaxation at Shinsegae Centrum City Spaland: A Luxurious Korean Spa Experience
#spas #100waysoftravel #southkorea #busan #Spaland
After a long day of traveling, we treated ourselves to Shinsegae Centrum City Spaland, the most modern and luxurious Korean traditional spa in Busan.
As the latest spa, it features 22 bathtubs with two types of thermal water, renowned for promoting blood circulation and enhancing beauty. What truly impressed us were the 13 uniquely themed saunas, with temperatures ranging from the intense 56.4°C pyramid room to the refreshing 11.7°C ice room. The entertainment zone offers everything from relaxation rooms to beauty treatments, and even a restaurant café and snack bar.
We spent two blissful hours soaking in the bathtubs and experiencing the saunas, followed by a nap in the relaxation room. To top off the day, we indulged in a comforting cup of self-served ramen at the ramen café. Folding our towels into "sheep-heads" like in Korean movies added the perfect authentic touch. I’d return to this spa in a heartbeat the next time I visit Korea!

The Wonderful Churches Of Busan ⛪️
#churches
While not major landmarks, the Kaya Presbyterian Church in Bujeon and the Jeonpo Catholic Church in nearby Jeonpo are two charming places of worship situated close to each other in Busan. These modest yet meaningful churches offer quiet spots for reflection and a glimpse into the city’s local Christian life.
Kaya Presbyterian Church, located in the Bujeon area, has a simple and unassuming presence, serving the local Protestant community. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it a peaceful stop for those seeking a moment of calm amidst the busy streets.
Jeonpo Catholic Church, nestled in the trendy Jeonpo district, blends in with the neighborhood’s lively mix of cafes and boutiques. Though small, the church provides a serene escape, offering a quiet space for prayer and contemplation.

September in Busan 🍂
#autumnseason
September is one of the best times to visit Busan, as the summer heat fades and the weather becomes pleasantly mild. The city’s beaches, like Haeundae and Gwangalli, are still warm enough for a swim or a relaxing day by the water, but with fewer crowds compared to peak summer. The cooler evenings make it ideal for exploring Busan’s vibrant neighborhoods such as Gamcheon Culture Village, markets and scenic spots.
The beginning of autumn also brings the first signs of changing leaves in the city’s parks, like Busan Citizens Park and Geumjeongsan Mountain, offering a glimpse of the coming fall. September is also the month for festivals, such as the Busan International Fireworks Festival, making the city even more lively and exciting. Whether you're into beach relaxation, hiking, or cultural exploration, September in Busan offers a perfect mix of activities with refreshing weather to match.

Conquering Heights: A Walk Across Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge
#koreatrip #busan #southkorea#songdo #suspensionbridge
During our visit to the Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge, we experienced the excitement of walking 127 meters above the water while taking in the breathtaking views. The bridge connects the renovated Songdo Cloud Bridge from Songdo Beach to Geobukseom Island and extends all the way to Dongseom Island through Amnam Park. On a sunny day, the view is absolutely stunning, with the sparkling waters below and the surrounding natural beauty.
Despite its height, the Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge is still walkable for those with fear of heights. The bridge feels sturdy and secure, offering enough stability for a comfortable experience, and the stunning views help distract from the height. With proper railings and a wide path, even those who are nervous about heights can take their time and enjoy the beautiful scenery at their own pace.
The bridge is truly a must-visit for anyone exploring the area.

Gamcheon Culture Village, located in Busan, South Korea, is a vibrant art village known for its unique architectural style and artistic atmosphere. The houses are built along the hillside, with winding streets filled with various murals and art installations, attracting many visitors to take photos and explore. In this art-filled village, I encountered countless creative murals and installation art. Wandering through the colorful streets, I felt the stories behind each wall. Morning Bliss at Yongdusan Park: Discovering Busan's Serene Oasis and Cultural Charm
#parksandgardens #100waysoftravel #south_korea #busan #yongdusan #Yongdusanpark
We decided to visit Yongdusan Park on a beautiful morning, drawn by its reputation as one of Busan's most iconic landmarks.
Located in the heart of the city, the park is easily accessible by taking the escalator from Gwangbok-dong Shopping Street, but be prepared for lots of stairs if you choose to explore further on foot.
As we arrived, we were greeted by the lively sight of local Korean uncles and aunties participating in a singing competition at the center of the park, adding a delightful cultural touch to our visit.
Inside the park, we made our way to Busan Tower, where we enjoyed panoramic views of the city. Besides soaking in the stunning views, we also explored the tower's exhibitions on Busan's history and culture and took a moment to leave a wish on the love lock fence.
The gardens around the park were bursting with flowers in full bloom, making it a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature. For the best experience, wear comfortable shoes and take your time to enjoy everything the park has to offer.
🎟️Average Price per Person:Yongdusan Park itself is free to enter and open 24 hours a day.
📌However, if you wish to visit Busan Tower, the entrance fee is approximately 12,000 KRW for adults, with reduced prices for children and seniors. ( 🤩🤩Free with Visit Busan Pass!)

Museum with a Free Aquarium
Kids are always fascinated by aquariums, but paid aquariums can be quite pricey, making frequent visits a bit burdensome. However, the National Maritime Museum in Busan has a free aquarium inside, allowing children to observe marine ecosystems and live fish up close. Highly recommended for a visit with children.

cafe with a view
This one has the best view of the beach. An unobstructed one. So whatever premium price that one pays for a coffee and cake, mostly is for the view. It's a multilevel self service cafe. Meaning you would have to climb up and down depending on where you are seated for your order.
I stopped by twice, wasn't amused with the coffee or anything but preferred the view and some quiet time. Lots of Korean tourists and couples around. Some hours of the day are magical to sit here and stare at the sea. Again, it's more expensive than your regular cave but if the view matters, may be come by.

Haedong Yonggungsa: A Must-Visit Sea View Spot in Busan
⏰ 4:30~19:20
📍 86 Yonggung-gil, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan
Haedong Yonggungsa is a temple located on the coast in Gijang, Busan. It's a popular tourist attraction where visitors can enjoy a light stroll inside the temple while taking in the stunning sea views. Many people visit this place as a must-see spot when traveling to Busan.
I visited during Buddha's Birthday and was able to see the beautiful lanterns hanging everywhere, which made the scenery even more spectacular. If you're looking for a place with a great view in Busan, Haedong Yonggungsa is highly recommended.
📌 Other places to visit near Haedong Yonggungsa: Busan Luge, Busan Lotte World
【Busan, South Korea】Mi Po Jip: A Specialty Marinated Crab Restaurant.
They have a total of three branches, and this time we visited the Haeundae main store, which is not far from the capsule train! (The main store is also a famous restaurant where Fan Bingbing has dined)
Mi Po Jip was established in 1976 and is now operated by the third generation.
Mi Po Jip's signature dish is the very popular Marinated Seafood Platter on Instagram!
We ordered two Marinated Seafood Platters, which come with exquisite side dishes (like a kaiseki meal) and stone pot rice. Just before finishing the side dishes, the main star, the Marinated Seafood Platter, makes a grand entrance! The presentation and color are very extravagant, with a raw egg yolk in the center paired with the restaurant's secret sauce, surrounded by marinated crab🦀, scallops, sea snails🐚, octopus🐙, abalone, shrimp🦐, and salmon🐟! This must be what Urashima Taro's treasure box looks like!
The seafood is very fresh, and paired with the secret sauce, it was the best food we had in Busan. The crown👑 goes directly to Mi Po Jip!

The Stunning Sky Capsule Train in Busan, South Korea 🩵
📍Busan Sky Capsule ✨✨✨✨
This was the most anticipated attraction of my trip to Busan 🩵🩵🩵
It's one of the attractions included in the Visit Busan Pass (though I didn't use it)
Reservations are a must
(Just show the QR code to the staff for scanning)
I chose the route from Mipo to Cheongsapo
Taking the train from Mipo puts you on the outer track (by the sea)
Getting off at Cheongsapo is perfect for taking photos of the Cheongsapo Little Kamakura 📷
I chose the time slot from 13:00-13:30
As long as you arrive within this time frame, you can board
This time slot is quite hot
But you can capture the clear blue sky, white clouds, and the seaside with the capsule train ✔️
(Many people recommend the sunset 🌇 time slot, which is also beautiful)
Although there's no air conditioning inside, it's not stuffy
There are two fans and open windows, so the breeze comes in
The speed is not fast
The ride takes about 20-30 minutes
The scenery along the way is really beautiful and cute
There are cedar forests and a vast blue sea, perfect for photos .ᐟ.ᐟ
Usually, people choose to take the seaside train back from Cheongsapo to Mipo
Or there's a coastal boardwalk you can stroll back on
Since I had a plan to eat abalone porridge in Gijang later
I only chose a one-way trip~~~
(Anyway, the seaside train is shared with others, so it's fine to skip it)
In the end
I want to ride it a hundred more times
I absolutely love it 💕

A Luxurious Hotel Buffet Lunch in Busan
I visited before the pandemic, and it was so great that I wanted to share it with you all♪
It's a bit pricey...
But this hotel is truly wonderful💓
The place is 'Ananti Hilton Busan'.
We went there after visiting Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.
I also explored the hotel, so I'll post those photos separately.
When I went, it was a buffet where you could choose your main dish.
They still offer a lunch buffet, but I'm not sure how it is now as it's not listed on their website...
Given the price, I assume you can still choose your main dish!
The buffet had so many options that it was hard to decide😋
The cheese was really delicious too!
The main meat dish had a nice garlic flavor and was very tasty~~
There were many desserts as well, but I ate so much that I could only manage some fruit.
This restaurant is located towards the back of the hotel.
The scenery on the way to the restaurant is beautiful, so I highly recommend it.
Also, you absolutely must explore the hotel.
There are so many Instagram-worthy spots!

4 Days 3 nights in Busan
#100WaysOfTravel
I miss everything about Busan. It’s very beautiful city with many great places to visit to, nature, beach, ocean, culture, city vibe, shopping, foods, it has everything you dream of.
Either solo, couple or with family, i would recommend “Hotel 1” at Gwangalli Beach. The hotel is just in front of the beach and has this amazing view to the magnificent bridge and beautiful sandy beach. Absolutely breathtaking at night and so charming at daylight. You can even enjoy Saturday drone show from your room.
Also personally recommend to walk along the coastal walking trail from Cheongsapo to Mipo if you have time. It was truly amazing. I took sky capsule from Mipo to Cheongsapo, walked to lighthouses, spent sometime and back with beach train to Mipo station and alighted at Dalmaji ( one stop earlier) and walk back to Mipo Station. Dalmaji - walking trails and the BEST scenic routes along the entire path. It's considered a very short walk for me, If you want to take some nice pictures / videos, walk from dalmaji to mipo at sunset. It absolutely beautiful.
Gamcheon Cultural Village is famous and everyone knows about it. You can spend some time there if you have time. I would rather recommend Huinnyeoul Culture Village. The Huinnyeoul Culture Village is a colorful seaside spot to see art, enjoy cafes and food, and have a good time with friends or family walking along the coast. It’s even called Santorini of Busan. If you are going there, pls go down to Huinyeoul Coastal Tunnel, it’s quite many stairs but it’s really worth it.
I really couldn’t wait to go back again.
Haeundae Blue Line Park
Haeundae Blue Line Park is a scenic coastal attraction located in Busan, South Korea. The park features a picturesque 4.8-kilometer stretch along the coastline, offering beautiful views of the East Sea. The main attractions include the Haeundae Beach Train and the Haeundae Sky Capsule, both of which provide unique and relaxing ways to enjoy the area's stunning landscapes.
Haeundae Blue Line Park is ideal for those looking to explore Busan's coastline in a relaxed and visually stunning way, blending modern attractions with natural beauty.
Aqua world in Busan
Who doesn't like visiting aquariums? I highly recommend visiting Sea Life in Busan, a large number of different aquatic creatures, including sharks, at certain hours you can look at how animals are fed ❤️ The price is small for Korea, a huge territory and frequent events, a large amount of merch, both adults and children will like it. We spent several hours there, didn't want to leave. A really great place!

Popular community cable car 🚡, take the bus from Busan Station for 20 stops to get there (the distance between stops is very short, mountain road). This is also a mural village, you can go early to stroll around.
Haeundae 'Little Kamakura' seaside small train, capsule train
Navigation: Haeundae Blueline Park (there is a direct bus from Busan Station, the subway is far), you can take the seaside train or capsule train, 'Little Kamakura' is at Cheongsapo Station. Find a grilled scallop or grilled eel restaurant by the sea at Cheongsapo and eat in a small building by the sea, it's very enjoyable.
Squat in a sea view toilet 🚽, have a cup of coffee at the world's highest Starbucks
X THE SKY by Haeundae Beach, the elevator going up feels like a time tunnel, there is a sea view glass floor on the 100th floor, if you are afraid of heights, crawl over it. Don't forget to visit the highest sea view toilet at the world's highest Starbucks.
Gwangalli SPA LAND Jjimjilbang
This is a newly opened place, most jjimjilbangs are concentrated near Gwangalli and Haeundae. Be sure to buy a portion of hot spring eggs and sweet rice wine! The first floor is traditional jjimjilbang, the second floor has very unique jjimjilbang rooms, highly recommended!
For dinner, go to the alley opposite Busan Station, there is an old pork soup restaurant 'Bonjeon Pork Soup', always has long queues, good value for money and taste, but it closes at 8:30 PM, go early.
day2️⃣
Crystal Seaside Cable Car 🚡 ❗️Not for those afraid of heights
Busan Station is very close to Songdo, mainly for the seaside cable car here. We bought the Busan Pass which can be exchanged for a regular ticket, added 5,000 KRW to take the crystal cable car.
Dragon Palace to feel the sea breeze
A viewing platform that looks like a dragon, separate ticket required, we bought the Busan Pass card, directly free.
Take the Busan city bus to Baeksan Beach Cultural Village, there are many boutique shops here, you can eat sea view ramen with the sea breeze.
When tired of walking, find a café to sit and watch the sea, highly recommend the foot bath sea view café.
A few kilometers up the mountain from Baeksan Beach, there is a sea view café featured in Busan promotional videos, sit on the steps, drink coffee and watch the sea, there are band performances in the evening.
Gamcheon Culture Village
The Little Prince of Busan is here! This time I changed into Hanbok and took a photo with the Little Prince.
A dopamine-colored small village, the residential clusters built along the mountain are very impressive.
A very popular shop in the village makes movie animation books, you have to queue for a long time, if you want to take photos, at least leave 1 hour, it's very fun with friends.
The small bus up and down Gamcheon is also part of the experience, the mountain road is very steep, almost drifting at the hairpin turns.
Buy the Busan Pass 48h card, all the essence of Busan can be directly exchanged for tickets, plan your route well, it's really worth it, recommend choosing the physical card, the card is also a bus card, with 3,000 KRW inside, you can recharge at convenience stores when used up, you can also check the balance on the recharge machines in Seoul, not sure if it can be used directly in Seoul, feel free to add 🫰
