Traveling across provinces from one of the southernmost cities in China, Hong Kong, to Kanas in the northern frontier. We toured by car for three days and two nights. This is China's northwesternmost territory, bordering Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The autumn scenery here is breathtaking. Birch trees don golden armor. The river is crystal clear, with shades of white, blue, and green. The bizarrely shaped sand dunes. Every scene is a feast for the eyes. The temperature ranges from over 10 degrees Celsius at noon to minus five degrees at night. A place you must visit at least once in your lifetime.
