Kanas, Xinjiang: dreamy alpine lakes and mysterious natural wonders🏞️

🌊 Kanas, located in Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, is one of the northernmost alpine lakes in China. This lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains is famous for its ever-changing water color and mysterious legends. When I came to Kanas, I felt like I was in a fairyland. The lake water here is sometimes azure blue and sometimes emerald green, like an emerald lying quietly in the arms of nature.
