Khao Kradong, the volcano of Buriram

Khao Kradong Forest Park is located in Mueang District, Buriram Province. It is an extinct volcano crater surrounded by lush forests. Interesting things in Khao Kradong Forest Park include the extinct volcano crater, which is approximately 300,000 to 900,000 years old. It is currently a pond, the remains of a volcano that is still well-preserved and the youngest in Thailand. There is a walking trail around the crater and a suspension bridge where you can stand and see it from a high angle clearly. It is home to Phra Suphattharabophit, the city's sacred Buddha image, which is a large brick and mortar Buddha image facing north. Inside the head are relics. From where the Buddha image is located, you can see the view of Buriram city.
