MALOLOS CATHEDRAL: ONCE A SEAT OF POWER

Historically, the cathedral convent was a forner Presidential Palace of the First Philippine President, Gen.Emilio Aguinaldo. Malolos Cathedral is presently called the Minor Basilica and Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. In the very town of Malolos, the Minor Basilica is a landmark in Bulacan with its neo-classical structure with 3 naved space, with the Blessed Virgin in its simple classic retablo, and with its beautiful facade. As I walk on the aisle, it was a stunning and majestic experience to see the ceiling ornaments, art works and chandeliers. Once it was a seat of political power, now a seat of spiritual power. The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) provides access to Malolos City. When from Manila, Tabang exit is best used while from the North, Sta. Rita exit is best used.
