#seasonalplacesoverseas #Hungary #overseastravel Hungary is a hot spring powerhouse🇭🇺 I went to enjoy the Széchenyi Spa, Europe's largest hot spring complex, in Budapest, Hungary✨ It features beautiful neo-baroque buildings, and I thought, "This is like the world of Thermae Romae!!"😂🏛️ There were many differences between the hot springs and super sento that Japanese people think of, so I'll introduce them to you👀💫 ①Access Take the subway line 1 (M1) and head to "Széchenyi Spa" Get off at "fürdő" station. Széchenyi Baths is located in the Municipal Park, but it was easy to find because you can see the yellow building of Széchenyi Baths right in front of you when you leave the station☺️🍃 The journey takes about 15 minutes from the center🚋 ②Price Prices vary according to the following categories: Monday-Thursday < Friday-Sunday < Peak season✍️ The best deal is the Monday-Thursday morning ticket, which applies if you enter between 7am and 9am🌞 We used this to enter, but as of October 2024, it will be 8am. It was 1,400 HUF (≒ 3,400 yen)🎟️ Normal tickets for Monday-Thursday are 10,500 HUF, so it's about 850 yen cheaper😄 Not only is it cheap, but there are fewer people on weekday mornings, so it's a great time to go😎 No prior reservations are required, and you can purchase a morning ticket at the reception desk and pay by credit card🙆♀️ ③Things to bring In addition to swimsuits, flip flops are useful because the ground can be cold or hot depending on the season🩴 And one thing that's easy to forget is a towel!! There are no rental towels or swimsuits, so if you don't have them, you'll have to buy them, so be careful⚠️ We explained the situation to the hotel we were staying at and were allowed to take the towels from the room outside🥰 ④Lockers, changing rooms, makeup rooms, etc. Honestly, there was no clear information about these areas, and the information varied depending on what you looked at, such as lockers being separate for men and women, or cabin-type changing rooms being paid😅 However, when we actually went on a weekday morning, there were not many people, so the lockers were not separate for men and women, and we were able to use the cabin-type changing rooms freely😚🙏 The lockers were about the size of a large backpack, So, I don't recommend going with a suitcase~🙅🏻♀️ After bathing, there were about three vacuum cleaner-like (lol) hair dryers installed in the hallway that you could use for free, but there was no area where you could sit down and get ready💄⚡️ This area is different from the Japanese sense, and there was no washing area in the bath area, so it's better to think of it as a hot spring pool rather than a hot spring or public bath🤗 The main facilities are 18 hot spring pools and 10 saunas, both indoors and outdoors, and are available all year round🫧 If you're lucky, you might even encounter a cool old man playing chess in the hot spring🤭♟️ A popular place of relaxation for locals and tourists, so please enjoy it♨️
