Buda Castle

Early morning is definitely the best time to head your way to Buda Castle. I arrived (when it was raining) by 8am and there were around 10 other people there only. As I was finishing up taking photos and heading to the St Matthias area, large groups were appearing and the rain had started to subside. To get there, I took one of the local buses from the just beside my City Centre hotel - really quick and easy. Starting at the base of Fisherman’s Bastion, I walked up the steps and entered the courtyard of views. Here you can easily take photos of the city. I will admit, because I was there early I couldn’t see inside the buildings, it also meant that apart from my bus journey (and funicular ride) I didn’t pay anything to see the view and the whole area. #mountainview #europetravel #budacastle #Budapest
