Beautifully Baroque

The cathedral of Brindisi otherwise known as the Cathedral of the Visitation of Saint John the Baptist, was consecrated by Pope Urban ll in 1089. It was heavily damaged by an earthquake in 1743, and almost entirely rebuilt. Inside the cathedral, you can find fragments of the mosaic floor from 1178. It’s one of the most important culture sites in the city in as well worth a visit if you are in Brindisi. #getgoing2025 #brindisi #apulia
