Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary

#australiatrip Bonorong is both an amazing family experience and a critical contributor to wildlife conservation in the Hobart area. All of the animals my family met and saw were rescued in the local area, and it’s wonderful to know the money visitors like us pay for wildlife experiences and for admission serve to protect and recuperate animals such as Mario the blind Tawny Frogmouth and Bandit the recuperating wombat. Bonorong is excellent for children, as they’re able to travel the grounds and feed kangaroos, as well as get up close with a range of exquisite wildlife from copperhead snakes to tree frogs to echidna to spotted quoll. The staff is knowledgeable and patient with families and endless questions.
