Boston Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum Unlike other museums, this is a private museum owned by Isabella Gardner, an old lady born into nobility. She and her husband spent 30 years collecting a large number of artworks in America, Europe, and Asia. After her husband passed away, the old lady built this museum in Boston. She personally handled everything from the design and decoration of the museum to the placement and display of the artworks. In her will, she requested that her display arrangement not be moved. I think the old lady also wanted to use this art museum to tell the world their love story.
