Bohol, Philippines travel

This is Bohol, Philippines, where I visited in May of this year! It's called the second Danang, and it felt like a small, rural island. The food was generally disappointing, but the best part was seeing sea turtles and snorkeling. Of the beaches, Doljo Beach was quiet and calm, which was nice. Doljo Beach https://maps.app.goo.gl/bXEacRw6dzorfEwx9 I also took the Chocolate Hills and Loboc River buffet tour, which was pretty good. :) Chocolate Hills Complex https://maps.app.goo.gl/wKga82rM9dctbJ856 Loboc River Cruise https://maps.app.goo.gl/ffDHV9fhyXbbNqQw5 It's located on the main island, so the travel time was long. You'll need to take a tour or charter a taxi. There were more kids selling things than I expected, but they kept insisting on following me even when I refused. It was hard to get stuck, and the roads were being torn up for construction, making walking incredibly uncomfortable. ㅠㅠ There were more stray dogs than I expected! And Grab had only recently launched, so it was hard to catch a Grab. If you can't get a Grab, you'll have to haggle with a tuk-tuk, but they charge as much as Korean taxis. Be sure to check the prices before you go! When I visited, I had to pay a separate departure tax upon leaving the country. Perhaps because Korean business owners dominate the island, it's similar to Jeju Island's prices, so I don't plan on returning. ㅠㅠ Thankfully, the departure tax is now included in the flight ticket, which is convenient. It's not a particularly attractive place, but if you do visit, I recommend snorkeling in Balicasag! #Bohol #Philippines #OverseasTravel #SoutheastAsiaTravel Chocolate Hills Chocolate Hills Complex

Our all-time favorite? Bohol’s crystal-clear waters—absolutely irresistible. Kick things off at Alona Beach (Panglao, Bohol)—open all day, year round. Sunrise walks along powdery sand and crystal-clear shallows are non-negotiable! Grab a beachfront breakfast, rent snorkeling gear, or hop on a paddleboard for unbeatable ocean views. Insta-tip: shots near the Palm Tree swings or during golden hour are pure magic. Head next to Hinagdanan Cave (JRG2+496, Dauis). Watch your step; it gets slippery inside! Nature lovers, don’t miss the Bohol Tarsier Conservation Area (Bilar, Bohol—08:00-17:00). It’s a peaceful jungle haven to spot these adorable, wide-eyed creatures. Rule of thumb: no loud noises or flash photography here! Respect their space for better viewing. Dive into bustling markets or take in sunset cityscapes before flying out. Personal tip: Bohol’s beaches are best for chill vibes and spontaneous dips—pack light, bring lots of reef-safe sunscreen, and dive in! 🌞 #Bohol #Philippines #BeachTrip #NatureLovers #TravelGuide#familytrip
