Bled Island in Slovenia The scenery around Lake Bled became even more surreal and beautiful as gentle rain fell and mist settled between the clouds. Legend has it that ringing the bell at the Church of the Assumption on Bled Island will grant your wishes. To reach Bled Island, located in the middle of the lake, you need to take a rowboat. I strolled around Lake Bled and explored the nearby town. While walking, I spotted small rowboats, mallards gracefully swimming and playing in the lake, and spring flowers blooming abundantly.
