Visit the world's highest freshwater lake: Two-day tour of Lake Titicaca

#JanuaryGoodPlaces2025 Lake Titicaca, also known as "Lake Titicaca" in Peru and Bolivia, is the highest alpine lake in the world (3,812 meters) navigable by large ships, and is also the largest freshwater lake in South America. After leaving Cusco, I took a bus to Puno, booked a bus ticket to Bolivia, and immediately booked a two-day trip to Lake Titicaca. We visited three islands, Uros, Amantani, and Taquiles. We lived on the second island, in the homes of locals, and ate very healthy wheat porridge, steamed beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and pancakes. There was no hot water for bathing at night, and the sky was very dark as soon as night fell. However, there were countless stars at night. It was the first time I waited leisurely for shooting stars to appear. I saw about five shooting stars, and I didn't have time to make a wish. The itinerary for these two days was very rich with hiking activities. The tour guide was very responsible in explaining the local language, culture, and clothing characteristics.
