Lisbon | Riverside Design Hotel Recommendations

I recently stayed in Lisbon for a few days and chose the Altis Belem Hotel & Spa - Design Hotel. This hotel is located in Doca do Bom Sucesso, very close to the famous attractions in the Belem area, and the location is simply perfect! First, let's talk about the hotel's location and transportation. Although the hotel is not in the city center, there are many fun and delicious places around, and it is very convenient to go to downtown Lisbon, just a ten-minute taxi ride away. You can also overlook the Tagus River from the hotel, which is perfect for taking photos 📸. The hotel's decor is very modern, and every corner from the lobby to the rooms gives a sense of sophistication. The front desk service is also excellent, and we felt warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. The room is spacious and has a strong sense of design, especially the floor-to-ceiling windows, which are great for natural light and beautiful views. Regarding the room experience, I think the room layout is really thoughtful, and the bed is very comfortable. Although some people think the pillows are a bit hard, overall, I am very satisfied. The room is well-equipped, with a balcony where you can see the beautiful night view of the pier at night, which is very romantic. However, there is no kettle or coffee machine, which is a bit inconvenient. Let's talk about breakfast. There are many choices, and you can try various local foods. There is also a Michelin-starred restaurant, Feitoria. Although it was closed when we went, I heard it is great, so I recommend making a reservation before you go. In addition, there is a spa center, which is really great, and the massage service is worth the money and very relaxing. You can also visit nearby attractions such as the Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, or take a walk along the Tagus River, which is very pleasant. Some recommended nearby restaurants, such as Come Prima Restaurante Italiano and Prova - Enoteca, are worth a try and are within walking distance. The only minor drawback may be that the room is a bit close to the highway, so it can be a bit noisy if you open the window. Also, the hotel is a bit far from the city center, but the advantage is that the environment is relatively quiet, which is suitable for those who like to get away from the hustle and bustle. Overall, staying at the Altis Belem Hotel & Spa during this trip to Lisbon was really worth it, and I would love to stay here again if I come back to Lisbon! 🎉
