The Bird's Nest (National Stadium)

The Bird's Nest (National Stadium) is located at the northern end of Beijing's central axis and served as the main venue for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. With its luxurious design and hosting of numerous international events, it has become one of Beijing's iconic landmarks in recent years. Unique Design The stadium's exterior is crafted from interwoven steel, resembling a 'bird's nest' made of branches. The wave-like curves give it a dynamic, life-like appearance, creating a striking visual impact. The Xiangyun Torch Tower, originally situated atop the Bird's Nest, has now been relocated to the Torch Square in the northeast of the stadium, where it remains visible from outside the venue.
