The large suites might feel too spacious, and the dining area might not be used frequently. Also, if you plan to stay and dine at the hotel, it's recommended to inquire about prices directly at the hotel, as there might be unexpected deals. Elegant Public Areas, Combining Functionality and Aesthetics The Peninsula Beijing's public areas exude a unique charm from the moment you step inside. - 💗 Other tips: Bypassing the hotel's large archway, you enter the lobby, where you'll find the lobby lounge, reception, and boutiques. The lobby lounge also serves as the breakfast area, with a relaxed and casual decor, characteristic of The Peninsula. The reception area is relatively small, so you might need to look for it if it's your first visit. The boutiques on the first floor showcase a collection of luxury brands, exuding opulence. From the first floor to the second, you'll pass a magnificent staircase, perfect for wedding photos. The second floor houses the meeting and banquet areas. The small meeting rooms and lounge areas are exquisitely designed. On B1, you'll find boutiques and a Western restaurant. The Western restaurant is quite expensive, with luxurious decor, and reservations are required for private rooms. Outside the Western restaurant, there's a bar area with a welcome ceremony before dinner. In the afternoon, a pianist plays randomly at the entrance, adding a romantic touch to the hotel. B2 houses the Chinese restaurant and a high-end furniture area. The Chinese restaurant, both in its private rooms and main dining area, is beautifully decorated. The high-end furniture area feels like an art exhibition, with a dazzling array of exquisite furniture. The hotel's third floor is dedicated to wellness, with a gym, spa, and swimming pool. The gym equipment is new, the swimming pool is beautiful and stylish, and the spa rooms are exquisitely decorated and professional, with a comfortable lounge area and high-quality amenities, providing a truly fulfilling experience. However, there's one minor drawback to the hotel's public areas. The rooftop Yun Jing Lounge bar is quite windy, not open during the day, and the view is underwhelming, offering only a distant glimpse of the Wangfujing building tops, not even a clear view of the Legendale Hotel's exterior. Overall, The Peninsula Beijing remains a strong contender, ideally located for a pleasant staycation. Despite the lackluster views, the hotel's service, facilities, and decor impressed me. Also, the hotel's room key design is minimalist. If you appreciate quality and style, I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself.
