I discovered a hidden gem private hot spring resort hotel while on a self-driving tour around Beijing: Yipiao in Water Town, located in Wendu Water Town, Changping District, Beijing. The hotel has more than 30 rooms, each with a simple and elegant design and its own private hot spring. This time, I stayed in the "Jialuo" room type. This room type is very suitable for families, with a king-size bed and a tatami mat, and a double private hot spring design. During the day, you can have a floating afternoon tea in the outdoor pool, and at night, you can soak in the indoor pool if you are afraid of the cold. During my stay, the hotel also provided traditional cultural experience activities. I experienced DIY aromatherapy wax sachets and Chinese-style lacquer fans 🪭 by the goldfish pond. The hotel also provides guests with ancient-style clothes for taking photos, and such a beautiful courtyard is really great for taking pictures. The hotel has a restaurant: Yidan Private Kitchen, where breakfast is also served. The restaurant's dishes taste and presentation are good. The breakfast variety is also very rich. The hotel also has a Huixu Tavern, which offers snacks, coffee, and cocktails. It is perfect for chatting and passing the time.
