Visit Changdian Temple Fair on the Fourth Day of the Lunar New Year

On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year in 2025, I couldn't stay at home any longer, so I went to the Changdian Temple Fair. The Changdian Temple Fair is as famous as the Nanjing Confucius Temple, Shanghai City God Temple, and Chengdu Qingdao Yang Palace Temple Fair. Located in the Liulichang Cultural District, it is known for its cultural beauty, with its cultural relics, calligraphy and paintings, and the four treasures of the study. In 2006, the Changdian Temple Fair became the first temple fair to be included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This year, it is the first temple fair after UNESCO included the Chinese New Year in the World Intangible Cultural Heritage List, so the Changdian Temple Fair has attracted many tourists. East and West Liulichang are the main streets of the Changdian Temple Fair. The 800-meter-long street is crowded with visitors, and people are smiling with joy. The streets are decorated with lanterns and streamers, and the atmosphere of the Spring Festival is everywhere. Visitors stop at various stalls to buy their favorite goods. Visitors who love to take photos are busy with their cameras and phones. For "old Beijingers," the taste of the New Year is a string of candied haws and a big windmill, and the memories are full of happiness. For young people, visiting the Changdian Temple Fair in Beijing and experiencing the traditional cultural atmosphere is a fulfilling experience. The Changdian Temple Fair is worth a visit.
