Remember history at the Old Summer Palace Ruins Park in Beijing.

Located in Haidian District, Beijing, the Old Summer Palace Ruins Park is a tourist attraction north of Zhongguancun Street and west of Tsinghua University. Baiyi Road and Tsinghua West Road both lead directly to the park. The park is a themed park built on the ruins of the Old Summer Palace, a famous cultural heritage site in the suburbs of Beijing. The Old Summer Palace Ruins Park consists of the Old Summer Palace, the Garden of Eternal Spring, and the Garden of Blossoming Spring, with a total area of about 352 hectares. The Old Summer Palace was built in the 46th year of the Kangxi reign (1707) and was a large imperial garden created and managed by six emperors of the Qing Dynasty (Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, and Xianfeng) over a period of more than 150 years. It was the imperial garden where the Qing emperors held court and relaxed all year round. At its peak, the Old Summer Palace was a "model of all garden art," with the grandeur of a northern imperial garden and the elegance of a southern private garden. It embodied the aesthetic realm of Chinese gardens and incorporated the artistic style of Western gardens, earning it the title of "the garden of gardens."
