Beijing Forbidden City, a walk into the former imperial city

#100 Ways to Travel You must make an appointment online in advance to visit the Forbidden City! If you don’t have a Chinese mobile phone, you can make an appointment on the official website~ Very convenient This time I booked a ticket for the afternoon of 9/22, and I could enter at 11:00. Since I had to go to the airport after the end of the visit, I dragged my suitcase with me, but the Forbidden City was very convenient and considerate. There was a luggage storage service at the visitor center in front of the Meridian Gate. You can choose to pick up your luggage at the East Gate or North Gate (the fastest time is 2 hours, and the last time to pick up is 17:00). After shopping, you can pick up your luggage at the exit and free your hands! The first time I came to the Forbidden City in Beijing, I was really shocked by this largest palace building in the world. Although the sun was very strong and there were many tourists, it did not affect my mood for sightseeing at all. It was just a pity that the time was not long enough and there were still many palaces that I did not visit. At the end of the walk, I passed Kunning East Courtyard and saw the afternoon tea at Wanchun Jinfu Palace Museum. We were very lucky to be able to order and be seated within 15 minutes. I highly recommend the lychee and bayberry soup, which is sour and sweet, and not too cold. Finally, when I walked out of the Forbidden City, before picking up my luggage, I went for a walk to Jingshan Park opposite the North Gate (after walking out of the North Gate, there is an underpass on the left that leads to Jingshan Park). It only takes 15 minutes to climb up and get a bird's eye view of the entire Forbidden City. I highly recommend it! Next time I come, I will spend more time to explore the Forbidden City in depth! #Beijing Palace Museum

I didn't do a strategy before, thinking I could buy tickets on the same day. Too underestimated the charm of the Forbidden City. I haven't visited it yet. I will come back again ☺️

Thank you for sharing 😊 We appreciate the charm of the Forbidden City, appreciate its majestic and magnificent spirit, and praise the grandeur of the Forbidden City! At the same time, we also lament the rise and fall of those dynasties.
