Watch the sunset from the top of the Drum Tower Garden, and enjoy the night view from the top of Di'anmen Shopping Mall!

Located at the northernmost end of the imperial city's central axis, the Bell and Drum Towers are adjacent to the famous Shichahai area in the Xicheng district to the west. Recently, the Dongcheng district, not to be outdone, has created a trendy new internet-famous spot called 'Drum Tower Garden' just 200 meters east and south of the Drum Tower. This is a creative park that combines entertainment, dining, and leisure. Its architectural style blends modern and traditional elements, with many photo-worthy spots such as Chinese archways, red walls, and vintage seating. From the terrace, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the capital's scenery, especially the Drum and Bell Towers, which look particularly majestic and atmospheric against the backdrop of the setting sun. After leaving Drum Tower Garden, you can have some Beijing snacks at the foot of the Drum Tower (every time I come to the Drum Tower, I go to Yao's), or head back to the newly renovated 'Di'anmen Shopping Mall' in Xicheng. The 'Di'anmen Shopping Mall', now no longer selling general merchandise, has turned into a large food court filled with restaurants. I remember it used to be hard to find a meal in the department store, such a dramatic change! I recommend visiting the upstairs terrace here to enjoy the night view, which is also a great choice!
