A snowfall in the Forbidden City, dreaming back to the Purple Forbidden City, I am looking forward not to the snow of the Forbidden City, but to your today
Dear friends! The Forbidden City in Beijing is particularly beautiful in the early snow season, like a snow-colored scroll, not only the brilliance of history, but also the legend in the snow. Let's have a romantic experience blended with history together! Come with me to the Forbidden City and feel the unique charm of the snow! 1、Snow timetable
The first snow date in Beijing is usually at the end of November to early December, but please pay attention to the weather forecast at any time.
On December 11, 2023, Beijing was covered with snow, and it snowed very seriously.
2、Best way to enter
Take the subway to Tiananmen East or Tiananmen West Station, and then enter the Forbidden City from the Temple of Heaven or Zhongshan Park to avoid congestion in the Tiananmen area.
3、Time planning
The opening hours of the Forbidden City are 08:30-16:30, try to go in the morning, because the snow melts easily during the day.
4、Itinerary suggestion
The best place to view the snow scene in the Forbidden City is near the central axis. You can choose to start from Donghuamen or Shenwumen, go to Jingshan Park, and overlook the snow scene of the Forbidden City.
5、Warm reminder
Bring touch screen gloves and a thermos cup
Shooting skills
The inner courtyard of the deep palace or the panoramic view of the Forbidden City overlooking from Jingshan Park. Use the snow scene to create exquisite photos.
6、No ticket alternative
If you have not purchased a ticket to the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Corner Tower or Jingshan Park are good alternatives. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Forbidden City. Red walls, yellow tiles, and snow all over the sky
The entire Forbidden City is covered in silver, slowly listening to the sound of the snow falling. This is the highest level of romance in winter.
People today do not see the moon of ancient times, the moon today once shone on ancient people
Hurry up and make an appointment with your friends to go to the palace to enjoy the snow!

The Palace Museum
The first recommendation is the Forbidden City! It's like the map of ancient China, with five hundred years of royal secrets hidden here. If you have the chance, you must come and take a royal selfie!
Summer Palace
The Summer Palace is a paradise in Beijing, which is breathtaking. Not only can you see magnificent buildings, but also appreciate the charm of royal gardens. Don't forget to capture your 'autumn appreciation' expression on the promenade, that's the advanced way to play!
Great Wall
No matter which section you go to, you can feel the weight of history. Climb up, take pictures when you come down, sunbathe, post photos, and tell your friends: I'm on the Great Wall, where are you?
Temple of Heaven Park
The Temple of Heaven Park is a place with a strong cultural atmosphere, not only beautiful buildings, but also leisurely old Beijing life. The elderly are dancing and practicing Tai Chi, which feels like traveling through time. Here, you can feel the harmony of the old and the modern.
798 Art District
Stepping out of the ancient royal atmosphere and coming to the 798 Art District, it's time to feel the modern trendy art of Beijing! There are graffiti, sculptures, galleries, and all kinds of cool art works. Don't miss this art carnival!
Tanzhe Temple
Not far from the city center, there is a temple hidden in the mountains, Tanzhe Temple. The environment here is pleasant, the air is fresh, it is a good place to relax your mind. Don't forget to taste the vegetarian food, try meditation, and feel the mysterious power of nature.
Whether you like modern architecture, natural scenery or cultural history, Beijing has places that will make you linger. Don't forget to check in and share your Beijing adventure, so that more people can also feel the charm of this city!

Summer Palace Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Fairy tale summer palace🏛️🌸
#cherryblossom2024
The Summer Palace in full bloom with peach blossoms is the little Jiangnan of Beijing people! The Summer Palace, a classical Chinese garden 🪴 and one of the famous scenic spots and historical sites in Beijing, was originally the palace and garden of emperors in the Qing Dynasty. It has over 3000 palace garden buildings in various forms.
I really like this section of the West Embankment. The green willows and red flowers 🌺 on the shore are so beautiful that it's intoxicating. The north can also be beautiful and tender.
📸Personally, I think this is the most beautiful section of the Summer Palace mid April, with a brief spring scenery.
🚗Transportation Guide:
The West Gate Station of the Summer Palace is the quickest way to enter from the West Gate to see the West Embankment. The Summer Palace is particularly large, and once you walk through the wrong door, it takes half a day to pass.
📍Location: Haidian District, Beijing.

Life advice: In March in Beijing, you must visit the Summer Palace at least once
March in Beijing is about to welcome the peach blossom season at the Summer Palace.
If you ask me which garden in Beijing is a must-visit in spring,
I would definitely recommend the Summer Palace first.
In March, the Summer Palace will turn into a landscape painting full of peach blossoms.
📍Best spot for flower viewing: The West Causeway of the Summer Palace.
The peach trees on the West Causeway are a very special sight in Beijing.
The trees grow by the water, with branches drooping into the lake.
Compared to ordinary peach blossoms, they have a bit more wild charm.
The West Causeway in spring really feels like you've arrived in the south of the Yangtze.
The pink of the peach blossoms and the green of the willows, the long causeway with misty willows,
combined with the mountain views, water views, ancient buildings, and water birds of the Summer Palace,
these spring images together make up a grand spring scene.
Every spot is a lively landscape painting.🌸
From dawn to dusk,
the changing light and shadows of each time period
present different flavors of beauty.
Walking on the West Causeway, with the breeze, flowing water, and mountain flowers,
you will completely immerse yourself in the beauty of this spring atmosphere!
The peach blossoms on the West Causeway start from the Willow Bridge in the south to the Mirror Bridge in the north.
Every spot is super photogenic,
with lots of room for creativity.
It's very suitable for both portraits and landscapes.
🚶🏻♂️Recommended tour route:
The West Gate of the Summer Palace ➠ Mirror Bridge ➠ Lian Bridge ➠ Jingming Tower ➠ Willow Bridge
📷Scenes to photograph:
Peach blossoms + ancient buildings: Four pavilions including Mirror Bridge, Lian Bridge, Jingming Tower, Willow Bridge
Peach blossoms + water birds: Wild ducks, mandarin ducks, swans can be seen everywhere between Mirror Bridge and Willow Bridge
Peach blossoms + mountain views: Standing on the West Causeway, the mountains are on the west side
🌸Information for March flower viewing:
✔️Peach blossoms on the West Causeway
✔️White magnolias at Leshou Hall
✔️Wax plums at Lenong Pavilion
🚇Subway:
The most convenient route to the West Causeway: Take Line 10 to Bagou Station, transfer to the Xijiao Line, take one stop to the Summer Palace West Gate Station, and it's closer to the West Causeway than the North Palace Gate.
📌tips:
The peach blossom season is very short. It lasts about one week around the middle to the end of March.
Beijing Citywalk|The winter of the Summer Palace is as beautiful as a poem and painting
❄️If the spring of the Summer Palace is the charming ripple of Kunming Lake, then the winter of the Summer Palace is the joyous laughter of the skating rink.
☀️The sun penetrates from the atmosphere of 40°N latitude, crosses the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, shines towards the Tower of Buddhist Incense, the ice surface is immediately dyed with golden light, people spin on it, chasing, as if the brilliant splash from the interstellar space.

⬇️Walking past the Huiyin Cifu Archway is the way to the Four Great Regions, a group of Tibetan-style religious buildings built during the Qianlong period, namely 'South Zhanbuzhou' 'North Juluzhou' 'East Shengshenzhou' 'West Niuhezhou', which were burned down by the Anglo-French Allied Forces in 1860, and the current ones were rebuilt in the 1980s according to the original style (Pictures 3-8) Steps need to be climbed here.
⬇️Then go down the mountain along the same way and turn left to walk along the mountain road, all the way towards Kunming Lake, there are small rivers in the forest along the way... When you reach Xie Bridge, you will see the stone boat Qingyan Boat (Picture 9)
⬇️Cross a small road with steps to climb up, the famous 'Tour in Picture', built during the Qianlong period, most of the buildings were burned down by the Anglo-French Allied Forces in 1860, rebuilt during the Guangxu period, it is an important scenic building in the western part of Wanshou Mountain, with an octagonal two-story pavilion in the middle, two pavilions and two towers on the east and west, and a white stone archway and a main hall with three rooms at the back, all connected by mountain climbing corridors. Because the building is built against the mountain, the view is open, and you can enjoy the view from the corridor, as if you are in a painting, hence the name 'Tour in Picture' (Pictures 10, 11)
⬇️After going down the mountain, it is the Long Corridor of the Summer Palace (Pictures 12, 13)
⬇️When you walk to the archway in the middle of the mountain under the Tower of Buddhist Incense (Cloud Radiance Jade Palace), you can take pictures of the Tower of Buddhist Incense, and you can also climb up the mountain to take pictures of the Tower of Buddhist Incense. The entrance to the skating rink is on the Kunming Lake side of the archway. (Pictures 14, 15)

Universal Studios Beijing, a complete guide for taking children out during the winter vacation
🥳🥳🥳 The winter vacation is coming! Here is a guide to Universal Studios Beijing in winter. Based on our family characteristics of 'being timid and not liking heights, being vain and loving to take photos', and without the fast pass, we still had a great time.
🎈🎈🎈【Priority Entry】:
We checked into the official hotel 🏨 a day in advance, and hotel guests can enter the park at 8:45 in the morning. We checked out and stored our luggage, and arrived at the entrance at ⏰8:15.
🪄🪄🪄【Tour Route】:
⏰After entering the park at 8:30, we went straight to Harry Potter, which is the furthest area from the entrance. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk there without stopping, and the queue time for 【Harry Potter Forbidden Journey】 is only 5 minutes!
⏰Around 9:30, we went to the neighboring Minion Land, where we must try 【Despicable Me Minion Mayhem】, with a queue time of 10 minutes! It's a 4D immersive experience, set in Gru's super villain lab, turning humans into minions~
⏰At 10 o'clock, we returned to Harry Potter and went to 【Three Broomsticks】 for lunch. As the most popular restaurant in the park, the taste is impeccable. Western-style simple meals, roast chicken🍗 and ribs🥩 are a must! Also try a cup of butterbeer🍺, surprisingly good~
🍽️After lunch, we went to Kung Fu Panda🐼 and played some small projects. This is an indoor venue, you can go in to warm up when the weather is too cold, and there are some Chinese noodle shops🍜 inside, friends with a Chinese stomach can go there to find food!
⏰Around 15:00, we went to Hollywood Boulevard to wait for the 【New Year's Limited Parade】. At Mel’s restaurant in Hollywood, you can have a hot drink and you might run into Marilyn Monroe💃🏼! As expected of Hollywood, stars are everywhere!
📸📸📸【Photo Spots】:
Three photo spots with the castle🏰:
1. The passage behind Ollivander's Wand Shop🪄, I personally think this is the best place to take photos.
2. To take a photo of Ron's blue car🛻 and the castle in the same frame, you need to leave the park, but there are many barriers there.
3. The exit of the Three Broomsticks restaurant🍺, of course, only restaurant diners can take photos.
🤩🤩🤩But I personally prefer 【Minion Land】, which is more suitable for young children, with bright colors🌈 and childlike shapes, it's a super cute fairy tale world.
🛻🛻🛻In front of Mel’s restaurant in Hollywood, it's also a great place to take photos, with various colors and styles of vintage cars at the entrance.
🏮🏮🏮Kung Fu Panda is very Chinese, and it's also the world's first theme park. This is a purely indoor theme pavilion, with a kind of magical atmosphere.

Temple of Heaven Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Rejecting❌ touristy photos! Capture grand shots📷 at the Temple of Heaven by avoiding the crowd. Attached is the camera position.
As a World Heritage Site of the same age as the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven in Beijing is four times larger and is undoubtedly a must-visit 🚩 for everyone traveling to the capital. On holidays, the Temple of Heaven is crowded with people. How to avoid the crowd and take great photos? I have found some clever 📷 spots and compositions, and I am ready to share them all with you! 👇
🗺️ Tour route: Enter from the East Gate, head straight to the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, then to the Echo Wall, Circular Mound Altar, and finally exit from the South Gate.
➡️ For your convenience, the following photo spots are arranged in the order of the tour:
❶ After entering from the East Gate, you will pass a path lined with pine and cypress trees. Take a photo at the entrance of the path towards the end, resulting in an interesting inverted triangle composition;
❷ After entering the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, go to the Guxi Gate on the north side, which is the south gate of the Imperial Heaven Hall. Take advantage of the fewer people and take photos at this spot. If you can't avoid the crowd due to late entry, take several photos at a fixed spot for post-production synthesis. A wide-angle lens is better;
❸ There are too many people in front of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Use the east/west side halls as the foreground, lean against the pillar or sit on the side to take photos towards the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Blur the people in the distance in post-production;
❹ Find a long red wall next to the Prayer Gate on the side of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. There are much fewer people here. Stand by the wall, the red wall and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests under the blue sky are particularly photogenic. I love this spot;
❺ A seemingly unremarkable building next to the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the red wall, blue tiles, and roof ridge beasts are very beautiful. You can stand at the end of the railing to take photos;
❻ Looking up at the sky under the eaves of the west side hall, you will find a surprise. The corner of the eaves and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests are perfectly aligned, creating a strong sense of art;
❼ Take a low-angle shot under the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, use the railing to block the crowd, lean against the railing, and frame the three-tiered blue roof of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. It's very photogenic;
❽ When leaving the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, you can use the hollows of the railings and the gaps in the doors to block the crowd and frame the composition. You will need a medium to long focal length lens;
❾ After exiting, you can avoid the crowd and take photos of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests on the right side. It's great for shooting buildings or people;
❶⓪ The composition at the entrance of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is amazing. Tourists usually enter and exit from the side doors on both sides. The middle door is usually not open, so there are no people here. Stand in front of the red door, and the photographer steps down to take a long shot;
❶① Walk towards the west gate of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, you will see the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests inside the wall between the two trees on the lawn. This is another excellent new spot with no people;
❶② After leaving the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, walk to the Chengzhen Gate on the way to the Echo Wall. It's also nice to take photos of the Imperial Vault of Heaven through the gate frame.
🚇: Subway Line 5, Temple of Heaven East Gate Station
🎫: Ticket price is 15 yuan,
Combined ticket (including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, Echo Wall, and Circular Mound Altar) is 34 yuan
You can buy tickets online or scan the QR code on site, and enter with your ID card
⌚️: The opening hours for the inside and outside are different
Main gate 6:00—21:00
Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests 8:00—16:30
Choose a sunny ☀️ day, the blue sky, red walls, and glazed tiles will make your photos no less stunning than those taken in the Forbidden City~

📸 Photo Spots
The Temple of Heaven is often crowded with tourists, but if you master these 9 golden photo spots, you can easily capture cinematic shots!
1️⃣ To the right of the Prayer Hall Gate, use the large iron vat as the foreground to cleverly capture the outline of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.
2️⃣ Near the Echo Wall, try looking up to feel the grandeur and mystery of the ancient architecture.
3️⃣ To the right of the Prayer Hall Gate, use the red wall as the foreground to capture the charm of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests again.
4️⃣ Don't forget the white marble dragon head next to the Imperial Vault of Heaven, also a great spot for photos.
5️⃣ Through the cracks of the Prayer Hall Gate, creatively shoot the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests for a unique flavor.
6️⃣ Don't forget to take an 'ID photo' of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests to keep the beautiful memories.
7️⃣ When the sunlight is just right, the roof beasts on the red walls are also good subjects for photography.
8️⃣ The left side of the Prayer Hall Gate also offers a different view of the beauty of the Temple of Heaven.
9️⃣ After entering the Prayer Hall Gate, use the pillars as the foreground to add depth to the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

🚶♀️ Leg-Saving Route
Two recommended routes for an easy tour of the Temple of Heaven:
🔵 East Gate → Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests → Imperial Vault of Heaven → Echo Wall → Circular Mound Altar → South Gate (or reverse)
🔵 West Gate → Double Ring Longevity Pavilion → Fasting Palace → Circular Mound Altar → Echo Wall → Imperial Vault of Heaven → Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests → Seven Star Stones → East Gate (or reverse)
-
🐿️ Finding Squirrels
Want to get up close with the squirrels? Enter from the South Gate and head north to the pine forest on the way to the Fasting Palace, which is the squirrels' paradise. In autumn, they come out to forage, and you can bring some small walnuts or pine nuts to feed them!
-
🎫 Ticket Reservation
Remember to book seven days in advance, and don't make a wasted trip on Mondays when it's closed. Peak season tickets are 15 yuan, combo tickets are 34 yuan; off-peak season tickets are 10 yuan, combo tickets are 28 yuan. Be sure to buy the combo ticket, otherwise, you won't be able to enter core attractions like the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the Imperial Vault of Heaven!
🕒 Opening Hours
Peak season park hours are 6:00-22:00, and the interior of the halls are open from 8:00-18:00; off-peak season park and hall opening hours vary slightly, so please check.
🚇 Subway Transportation
For the East Gate, take Line 5 to Tiantan East Gate Station Exit A; for the West Gate, take Line 8 to Tianqiao Station Exit C.
Going to Beijing, you must visit the Temple of Heaven
💰About buying tickets, you must buy a combo ticket!! You can't enter the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests without a combo ticket, how can you take photos! The peak season is only 35, and it starts at 25 in November. You can go to take pictures of the autumn scenery or snow scenery, it must be extremely beautiful~
📍For those who drive, navigate to the Blue Sky Parking Lot - Temple of Heaven Park East Gate Parking Lot🅿️ The distance is directly into the park after parking. Note⚠️ Gaode Map can be searched directly, Baidu Map can't be searched🈚️ The parking space will be relatively tight during holidays, you can park nearby at Wumei but it seems a bit far from my observation, 1.3km from the scenic spot, just play it by ear.
🚇The subway line 5 goes directly to the east gate of the park, if you take the bus, please search for it yourself.
🔜For those who just want to check in and take photos quickly, enter from the east gate and exit from the south gate (suitable for sisters who don't drive, those who drive can only walk back to the east gate) Just take pictures and visit three scenic spots, don't go to the north and west, in fact, this is the most efficient, because the most photogenic is the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, you will understand in a second when you look at the tour route map in the park, 1h-1.5h is definitely enough for taking pictures! If you want to stroll around the park and play leisurely, you can stay for a day
You must do this when you go to the Temple of Heaven, otherwise you will regret it
Be sure to pay attention to the time❗️
🕑Opening hours: 6:30-22:00, no entry after 21:00
❤️Ps:
1️⃣The above is just the opening hours of the Temple of Heaven Park, the Prayer Hall area closes at 17:00 in the afternoon, everyone must plan their time well
🚇Subway:
West Gate- Line 8- Tianqiao Station- Exit C
East Gate- Line 5- Temple of Heaven East Gate Station- Exit A2
North Gate- Line 7- Qiaowan Station- Exit C
South Gate- Line 14- Jingtai Station- Exit B
🚶Route:
The length of the route to the Prayer Hall is ranked: West Gate> South Gate> East Gate> North Gate
(North Gate is very close to the Prayer Hall)
⚠️Notes:
1️⃣If you want to take pictures of the Prayer Hall, you must arrive before five o'clock in the afternoon, and the Prayer Hall area will be closed after five o'clock
2️⃣It is recommended to wear black or white clothes, which are polite and suitable for taking pictures (after all, the Temple of Heaven is a sacrificial building) in the Prayer Hall
3️⃣Don't worry if you don't bring your ID, you can negotiate to scan the code
4️⃣Keep warm in winter and bring water! The park is very large and it takes a long time to walk

Mutianyu Great Wall Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Mutianyu 慕田峪长城 ⛰️
Mutianyu (慕田峪长城) is one of the best-preserved and most picturesque sections of the Great Wall of China. It is located in the mountains 70 km northeast of Beijing. I liked this section of the wall much more than Badaling (八达岭).
You can get here with a tour group or on your own. If you're going independently, you need to get to the Dongzhimen Public Transport Hub (东直门交通枢纽), take bus 916块, get off at the final stop Huairou Beidajie (怀柔北大街), cross the road, take bus H23, get off at Mutianyu Huandao (慕田峪环岛). Then walk back a little and you'll see the entrance to the ticket offices.
Before the entrance to the wall, there is a parking lot, souvenir shops, and cafes. You can buy a ticket for the cable car and ride it to the 14th tower, then walk in either direction. I also recommend buying a ticket for the toboggan ride down from the Great Wall. It costs 100 yuan.
The wall itself runs along the mountain ridges, rising to a height of 1,000 meters above sea level. The views are simply stunning - endless crenellated walls wind along the mountain ridges, disappearing into the distance. It's especially beautiful here on a clear day.
Walking along the wall is quite a challenge due to the numerous steps and steep climbs. But the effort is worth it - the sight of the ancient stone structures, shrouded in legends and history, is mesmerizing.
Overall, Mutianyu left an indelible impression on me. It is one of the must-see attractions when visiting Beijing and China. I recommend setting aside at least half a day to leisurely stroll along the wall and enjoy the views.

If you happen to be going to the Mutianyu Great Wall
The autumn scenery of Mutianyu is really!! Stunning!! It's like a palette has been knocked over, a visual feast~
🚌Transportation:
Book your tickets one day in advance, search 🔍 'Beijing Tourism Distribution Center' on Xiao🍊Xu, round-trip tickets are 80. The next day, take the subway to Qianmen Subway Station, the pick-up point for the Beijing Tourism Distribution Center is opposite the E3 exit.
✨Experience sharing:
Buses depart continuously from 7-10 in the morning, and depart when full. There are return buses from 1-4 in the afternoon, which also depart continuously. Each bus from the distribution center is equipped with a tour guide, who will give a detailed introduction to the differences between Mutianyu and Badaling, as well as the recommended way to play in Mutianyu. It's very convenient to buy tickets directly on the bus, saving the need to take a shuttle bus. You can buy water on the bus, two bottles for 5 yuan, and a bottle of water on the Great Wall costs 10 yuan~
🍲Dining options:
There is a Yisonglou Restaurant at the entrance, where you can order meals. Two people ordered two dishes and two bowls of rice, and the average cost per person is just over fifty. The stir-fried meat with chestnut mushrooms is delicious!
🌿Tour suggestions:
West Line: Enemy towers No. 14-20, there is a cable car, one-way 100, round-trip 140~ The 20th enemy tower is the highest point of the open area, and the Hero Slope is here, the scenery is very beautiful~
East Line: Enemy towers No. 1-6, there are cable cars and slides, one-way 100, round-trip 140~ The terrain is relatively low and flat, the scenery is said to be slightly inferior, but the main advantage is speed and passion.
Middle Line: Enemy towers No. 6-14.
‼️The cable car and the ropeway slide are operated by two separate companies, so they can only be ordered separately~ The cable car goes up to the 14th enemy tower, the ropeway goes up to the 6th enemy tower, and the slide slides down from the 6th enemy tower. If time, physical strength and economy permit, you can choose double cable and double slide.
We chose the West Line, took the cable car up and down, climbed from No. 14 to No. 19, and it wasn't too tiring to walk and rest. The main reason is that we went to the Summer Palace, Universal, and the Forbidden City three days before climbing the Great Wall, and our feet were almost worn out, so we didn't make it to the 20th enemy tower, and only climbed to the Hero Slope. Including the time for taking pictures, the total play time is 3 hours.
We left for the return journey at three o'clock in the afternoon, arrived back in the city at around four thirty, had a roast meat skewer, and then went to see the night view of the Bird's Nest~
