Nanluoguxiang Travel Guide

As a local who has been to Nanluoguxiang countless times, I have some advice for friends from other places. 1️⃣ For those living in the suburbs, the best way to travel is by subway. Line 8 has a dedicated station at Nanluoguxiang. Get off at the northwest exit and you're there, very convenient and fast, though it might be a bit crowded; if you're close enough to walk or cycle, don't take a taxi. The entrance to Nanluoguxiang is very narrow and often congested (if you're lucky, ignore this). 2️⃣ I don't recommend bringing a lot of stuff, a small bag with some tissues and water is enough. 3️⃣ The snacks inside are honestly not that great. If you want to try them, a few people should buy one portion to taste first (buy more if it's good). I personally think the one at p1 is not bad, and p3 is not good. The drinks are nothing special, just buy a cheaper one to quench your thirst and check in. The chimney bread is pretty good🥰, but it's quite large and can get a bit greasy towards the end, so I suggest a few people share one. 4️⃣ Some of the handicraft shops are quite nice (bags, perfumes, etc.), but overall the prices are on the higher side, so consider carefully. 5️⃣ There are many trash bins inside Nanluoguxiang, which are very convenient. Be sure to throw your trash into the correct bins according to the classification, and don't litter outside. Enjoy your trip and protect the environment at the same time. 6️⃣ The toilets inside are small and not very clean, so I suggest using the hotel bathroom before you go. 7️⃣ I recommend going in the evening when it's cooler and the night view is beautiful. After visiting Nanluoguxiang, go directly to Shichahai to see the night view. (The night view of Shichahai is super beautiful and great for photos.) Finally, remember: look around, feel more, try to shop less, and wish everyone a happy time in Beijing.
