Beijing Art Museum - Wanshou Temple

The Beijing Art Museum is located in the Ming and Qing Dynasty treasure temple Wanshou Temple. Wanshou Temple was first built in the fifth year of Wanli of the Ming Dynasty (1577), it is a royal exclusive temple. After several large-scale renovations by the Kangxi, Qianlong, and Guangxu emperors, it has formed a royal heavy temple covering 50 acres with the east, middle and west three-route buildings adjacent to each other, integrating temples, palaces, and gardens. It was once known as the 'Little Forbidden City in the West of Beijing'. The museum uses ancient buildings to set up five thematic exhibition areas: the history of Wanshou Temple, Buddhist art, Ming and Qing porcelain art, Ming and Qing crafts, and painting art gallery, with an exhibition area of 1000 square meters. Interested friends can make an appointment to buy tickets and enter on Tuesdays, and it takes about 2-3 hours to visit. The subway transportation at the door is also very convenient.
