Stay Report for the New Sheraton Hotel in the Scenic Area of Beihai

Membership Level: Marriott Titanium Elite Member Benefits: Upgraded to an open suite, three breakfasts, no lounge access It's currently the off-season for tourism in Beihai, and I took this opportunity to experience the newly opened Sheraton Beihai Hotel. Located within the Guantouling scenic area, it's about a 30-minute taxi ride from Beihai Airport. To visit places like the old streets of Beihai, a taxi is also needed. Therefore, the hotel is more suited for those who prefer to relax in the hotel, swim, and enjoy the sea view. 🌴Stay Experience: Upon arrival, the concierge was proactive in opening the car door and handling luggage. Before check-in, the hotel called to inquire about the guest's preferred room type and any special requests regarding the floor. Check-in was swift, and as this is a resort hotel without an executive lounge, the front desk upgraded frequent traveler members to an open suite. 🏨Hotel Public Areas: The hotel covers a large area, and the main color scheme of walnut and blue gives a refreshing impression. The view from the lobby bar on the first floor is particularly good, with direct views of the sea. There are two outdoor swimming pools, but they are not heated. The Chinese restaurant on the second floor is worth trying, as it's ranked as the top Cantonese restaurant in Beihai. However, the hotel doesn't have its own private beach; it's a short walk to the nearest beach, where there's a very chill bar, perfect for watching the sunset. 🛏️Room Situation: The cleanliness of the rooms is commendable, possibly due to the hotel being new. The rooms are not damp. The open suite offers a sofa that can be converted into a small double bed and a 2m wide bed, with a large terrace facing the sea. The room is also equipped with a capsule coffee machine and a bathtub. 🍔Hotel Dining: The quality of the hotel's breakfast is inconsistent. We stayed for two days; the first day's breakfast was tasty with congee and seafood noodles, but the second day was average, possibly due to the weekend rush. The service may have been lacking due to the crowd. Additionally, there's a top-ranked Cantonese restaurant on the second floor, which is quite expensive but worth trying. 📭Conclusion: I highly recommend this hotel. Currently, it's the most upscale hotel in Beihai. If you want to stay within a scenic area, it's a good choice. However, if you're planning to visit Silver Beach, it's not recommended to stay here due to the distance, which is over 20 minutes by taxi. But as a newly opened hotel, the facilities are well-maintained, and it's especially worthwhile to stay using points during the off-season.
