Off-season travel experience in Beidaihe

I think traveling in the off-season is great for someone like me who doesn't swim! There are fewer people, it's very pleasant and quiet, and you can take photos without worry. But❗️note that it's a bit cold now! It's still okay to go after the National Day holiday but within mid-October! Later, you need to rest more and keep warm, as the sea breeze is strong, so wear more clothes and a hat! Another thing is that many restaurants are closed in the off-season, and there are almost no snack stalls, but this is not a big problem for me. 📍Sharing my check-in route 🚞I traveled from Beijing to Beidaihe Station, departing in the morning and arriving around 1 PM, and left the next afternoon. 🏠If you want to save money, you can stay in a homestay near Laohushi. It's very convenient for traveling. There are many homestays in Liuzhuang, and the prices are very cheap. In the off-season, you can book a room after you arrive. I found that the prices posted in the store were cheaper than online (homestays are not as comfortable as hotels and are a bit worse in various aspects). Some supermarkets directly rent out bicycles, 40💰 per day. If you are not driving, you really need to rent an electric bike! It's very convenient. There are also some seafood restaurants and other eateries around (although most are closed). We bought a group deal at one place, which was quite cost-effective and very delicious, right next to the homestay (some places might be average, so check reviews and be discerning). 🗺️After arriving at noon and having lunch, we went directly to Laohushi Beach. You can see the sunset around 5 PM (the sunset in the picture). It would have been even more beautiful if the weather was better. We only visited this one spot on the first afternoon, then rode around a bit before heading back (it was a bit cold in the evening). The second day! If you want to catch the sunrise by the sea, I highly recommend going to Biluota! We couldn't get up early and went at noon. Biluota is super quiet in the off-season, with hardly anyone there, making it very pleasant and peaceful. It's also a great place for taking photos. Around noon, the tide had just receded, leaving many shells 🐚 on the shore, and I picked up quite a few beautiful ones, haha. Summary✅ Because the weather on the second day wasn't as good as the first, we didn't go to the planned spots and only visited these two. But I think it was enough. I was really happy to find that the seawater was still clear. Later at Biluo Bay, I couldn't resist taking off my shoes and socks to play in the water. It was really fun.
