The castle tower is the best observation deck.

Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Girona (Region) The castle itself is a small ruin of what remains, but it is still a great place to visit and learn about its history. There is a small path leading up to it, though some parts are quite steep. In my opinion, the last 30 feet or so are too steep for those who are frail or use wheelchairs. However, once you reach the top, the view is absolutely spectacular. The scenery of the town of Begur and its surrounding areas is stunning. So, relax and enjoy the view. It’s not crowded, or at least it wasn’t crowded when we visited, as it was a weekday.
