The Hike to Ice Lake - Yubeng

Getting There - From the Upper Yubeng Village, it is about two hours’ hike to reach Yakou with an alititude of 3,700 meters. Then you will pass through a primitive forest to reach the Base Camp. From there, it’s another one hour’s hike to reach the Ice Lake. I hiked from upper Yubeng village to the Iced Lake for less than three hours one way and honestly the views along the way were absolutely stunning - having traveled to quite some places I have never seen anything like that in the entire world. It is literally out of the world. When you reach the Iced Lake, you will see that it is a dark green lake that is formed by the melting snow water from the Meili Snow Mountain.
