【Kuala Lumpur】Batu Caves

I visited the mystical sacred site "Batu Caves" located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur! The entrance, marked by the towering 42.7-meter golden statue of Lord Murugan, is truly breathtaking. The colorful 272-step staircase leading up is steeper than it looks, and climbing it gets your heart racing, offering a great sense of accomplishment! At the top of the stairs, the interior of the main cave is cool and filled with a sacred atmosphere. Inside the cave, temples are lined up, creating a surreal space where the prayers of devotees and the fluttering of bats' wings intertwine. Additionally, the view of limestone cliffs and lush greenery from the cave is stunningly beautiful. Along the way, friendly monkeys will greet you. Be cautious with bottled drinks, as they might attract the monkeys. Make sure to wear proper attire that covers your shoulders and knees, as there is a dress code check at the entrance. Access is easy, about 30 minutes by train or Grab from Kuala Lumpur city center. It's a treasure trove of nature and culture that you can visit casually. Visiting early in the morning or during the forenoon is recommended for a more relaxed experience.
