Kennet and Avon Canal - Beauty and History along the towpath

Bath is such a beautiful city and one of the gems is the towpath along the Kennet and Avon Canal . You have Bath Deep Lock which is the second deepest lock in the UK, Cleveland House (cover photo) which used to be the HQ for the canals's management and as you walk through the tunnel you come to Sydney Gardens a public open space which is the only remaining eighteenth-century 'pleasure garden' in the country. You can walk through the gardens into Great Pultney Street which leads into the City
