Three-course meal in Barcelona under 16€!

#celebrateit This was the first meal I had of my 2week trip in Spain. I was heading to a restaurant I had in mind after exploring Barceloneta Beach, but halfway a restaurant manager caught my attention with a banner showing their value deal: tapas+paella+dessert = 15.95€. What a steal! I immediately changed my mind and decided to give this place a try. It turned out to be the highest-value meal of everything I have had in Spain by hindsight. And the paella was also closest to what I prefer on my plate flavor-wise. Not only it has generous serving of seafood inside the rice, the broth used has a strong umami of crustacean (many places served delicous paella but not of seafood stock). The mussels are visibly plentiful and flavorful too for a starter. As for the dessert, it has a crème brûlée kinda torched sugar layer on top, and the milk/egg pudding inside had a nice kick of spice which I believe is cinnamon. Overall, everything was enjoyable, with an even better price tag. But expect to pay 10% extra for tax, which will still be extremely worthy for what you get. And maybe skip the drinks, which seemed priced rather steeply. But I think it’s not necessarily to be this particular restaurant. A few restaurants along this road had a similar deal. They should all offer similar, if not higher, value of meal.
