| Chencang Old Street. ◾️Chencang Old Street is the new name card of ancient Chencang and the reception hall of new Baoji. Baoji was known as Chencang in ancient times and is famous for the idiom "openly repair the plank road, secretly march to Chencang." The history of Baoji can be traced back to 762 BC. Due to the auspicious event of "stone chicken crowing," Chencang was renamed Baoji. The old street is located on the southeast side of Baoji City and was first built in the Tang Dynasty. It originated from Chencang County and was an important transportation route connecting the hinterland of Qin and the Weihe River Basin. ◾️Chencang Old Street is next to the Bronze Museum. You can see Chencang Old Street in front of the museum, and you can reach it by going down the stairs. After years of baptism, this street has preserved many historical buildings and cultural relics, making it a tourist street with the theme of old street culture. The architecture of the old street is mainly in the style of the Republic of China, and it also integrates traditional architectural elements, with unique regional characteristics. There are small buildings with blue bricks and red bricks, red wooden doors and windows, and carved walls, as well as imitations of Baoji Old Railway Station, Chencang Apartment, Shanxi Guild Hall, and other buildings. Every brick and tile reveals a sense of history. ◾️Chencang Old Street covers characteristic blocks such as Baoji 1941 Republic of China Style Street, Jiuxian Jiuyuan Western Mansion Folk Custom Area, Silk Road Pearl Grand Theater, and Shigu Cultural Entertainment Square. There is also the "Shi You Ba Jiu" Food Street, which gathers famous snacks from Guanzhong and all over the country. Strolling around the old street, you can see delicious food everywhere, and you can find almost everything you can think of.
