Kalipait

Kalipait River is a river that contains sulfur and originates from the Ijen Crater water flow. Kalipait River waterfall is also one of the tourist destinations that are often visited in the Mount Ijen The local called the stream Kalipait which literally meant a bitter stream. The green water in the stream came from the sulphuric crater lake of Mt. Ijen as the stream was located on Ijenโ€™s mountain slope. In my opinion, the landscape was quite interesting and unique with the green stream flow on the surface of solid lava rocks with some trees far behind. The stream, which also often called as Kalipait Waterfall by the locals could be reached easily because it was actually by the main road. The only limitation was that there were no public transports serving the area, so people should use their own vehicles or rented a vehicle from Banyuwangi or Bondowoso to go to the stream. Usually travelers stop by at the stream on their way to or from Mt. Ijen. #nationalpark#urbanexplorer
