For this trip, we chose to take the special express train. We started from Hua Lamphong Railway Station, train number 25, platform 3. The train departed from Hua Lamphong at 20.00 and arrived in Nong Khai at 06.25. We chose the 1st class sleeper train because we liked the privacy. There were 2 beds in the room, one up and one down. There was a private sink that we did not have to share with anyone. We spent about 10 hours on the train. Even though it was a night trip, it was very comfortable. .
