Wat Rakhang Khositaram Worawihan 🙏🙏🙏

Start the first day of 2566 at Wat Rakhang Khositaram Worawihan. The temple is located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in Siriraj Subdistrict, Bang Khun Non District. The ancient temple was built since the Ayutthaya period. It is a second-class royal temple of the Worawihan type. During the reign of King Rama I, he restored the temple and dug up a bell, which he ordered to be placed at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram. He made 5 bells to compensate for Wat Bang Wa Yai. After that, he gave the temple a new name, "Wat Rakhang Khositaram". Inside the beautiful ordination hall, there is the enshrined Luang Pho Yim Rap Fa, the principal Buddha image. There is a white prang and in the area along the river, there is a large image of Somdej Phutthachan To. In the temple, there are offerings in sets of 100, 200 and 300 baht, as well as flowers, garlands, incense and candles for people to make merit. Travel 🚤 Take a ferry at Tha Chang, which is near Wat Phra Kaew. To cross the Chao Phraya River, get off at Wat Rakhang Pier. 🚗 There is a private parking lot. There are many places to choose from (we parked at Soi Arun Amarin 20, 30 baht for the first hour, 20 baht for the next hour) called A20Park. If anyone comes to walk around Wang Lang, you can stop by to make merit, worship Buddha, walk through each other not too far. As for us, we stopped by Wang Lang Market by walking from Wang Lang Pier south until we reached the temple. On the day we went at around 15.00, there were a lot of people at the temple, probably because it was a holiday and New Year's Day. So it was quite difficult to find a good angle to take pictures.
