Iconic Thai temple Wat In, Bangkok

Wat Intharawihan (known as Wat Bangkhunprom in ancient times) is a royal temple that is best known for its 32 metres high standing Buddha statue known as Luang Pho To or "Phra Si Ariyamettrai" that was erected on the inspiration of the still highly revered abbott Somdej Toh. Features a serene (air-conditioned) and very welcoming meditation hut, with a centre flowing well of holy water that can be collected for free. Also having a comprehensive Thai Buddhist votive amulet collection from the temple on display and for believers to acquire. It is a practice to offer smoked plaa tu (sardine fish), flowers and incense under the feet of the massive Buddha statue to have your wishes answered.
